Analyst cast doubt on PS3 shipment predictions
Mitsubishi UJF Securities out of Japan downgraded their rating for Sony stock which sent the stock down 3 percent. They believe that Sony is not going to be able to ship as many Playstation 3s as they would like due to component shortages. Theyre thinking Sony will only have 3 million Playstations 3 out by March 2007. Ouch, by contrast, Microsoft didnt reach their 3 million consoles shipped in 90 days figure either, however, they did move over 1 million units in that time. Will sony be able to do the same?
